Weather – Cool and cloudy bright. It rained earlier in the morning and again at night, but we managed to have a few dry hours, with even some blue sky and sunshine. It’s warm enough for T-shirts and shorts.
Details – Last week’s hike featured pockets of snow. Today we see shoots pushing their way through fallen leaves and hear spring peeper frogs and see a snake. The trees are still completely bare and, from a distance, the forest is also bare and brown. Yet there are signs of life emerging from the forest floor.
